Mount Sinai

According to scripture, Mount Sinai in Saudi Arabia is where Moses was first introduced to the Spirit of the Lord. Exodus 3:1-2 While Moses was tending the sheep, the Lord appeared to him in a bush that seemed like it was on fire, but the bush did not burn up.  Mount Sinai is also the location where the people rebelled against God.  Moses was with the Lord for forty days on Mount Sinai. This was during the first time that the Ten Commandments were written.

Exodus 31:18 When He had finished speaking with him upon Mount Sinai, He gave Moses the two tablets of the testimony, tablets of stone, written by the finger of God.

The rock which God caused the water to flow from is located beneath and in the same area as Mount Sinai. The Moses movie captures the events as described in the bible.

Mount Sinai Location

Ron Wyatt, an amateur archaeologist, and his sons applied for visas to enter Saudi. Their repeated requests received no answer for 4 ½ years. However, they decided to go anyway. Meanwhile, they arrived in Jordan on January 24, 1984, after being successful in obtaining a visa to enter. They had to hitchhike and walk the rest of the way into Saudi Arabia to reach their final destination. While at the site, they were discovered by authorities and taken to jail. At this point, they were accused of being spies. Watch this intriguing video of their trip and the discovery of Mount Sinai according to biblical scriptures.

Watch the ten commandments movie where Moses received the tablets on Mount Sinai for the people of Israel. This happened only after the exit or “Exodus” out of Egypt. The people witnessed many supernatural events before leaving and also during their journey. In Exodus 3:12 He said,

“But I will be with you, and this shall be the sign for you, that I have sent you: when you have brought the people out of Egypt, you shall serve God on this mountain.”

Moses

After Joseph died, the people were under a new ruler. Pharaoh feared the Israelites because they were growing in numbers. Pharaoh made them slaves because he wanted to control them. Many sermon ideas have come from these very scriptures. Moses was Godsent. As a child, he was hidden in a basket by his mother and was sent down the river. Pharaoh’s sister, Bithia, drew him from the water and raised him as an Egyptian prince. He was the chosen deliverer for God’s people who had been in bondage for 400 years. The Exodus movie gives us an even a better understanding of what God called Moses to do. How God’s people were delivered from the bondage of Pharaoh.

Biblical Archaeology

Not only has Ron Wyatt found the true location of Mount Sinai, but also Noah’s Ark and the Ark of the Covenant. Wheels from the chariots were found in the Gulf of Aqaba where God’s people crossed the Red Sea and Pharaoh’s army went in after them but was consumed by the waters.

Exodus 14:21-23 21 Then Moses stretched out his hand over the sea; and the Lord caused the sea to go back by a strong east wind all that night, and made the sea into dry land, and the waters were divided. 22 So the children of Israel went into the midst of the sea on the dry ground, and the waters were a wall to them on their right hand and on their left. 23 And the Egyptians pursued and went after them into the midst of the sea, all Pharaoh’s horses, his chariots, and his horsemen.
